CHANGE

I always wonder about the moments we stop considering a change, a change. That precise subconscious switch to normal. That moment when you stop calling a “Big Change”, a “Big Change”, and maybe not even mention it anymore because it already happened. The change is no longer a change. A change transforms into effortless everyday, and we don’t even notice this invisible timeline.
I really think I've figured out when we nonchalantly hinge back from the weight we put on these pivotal turning points. It’s when we realize we like it. Change is always scary. Fear drives our words, our constant talking about the change, the feat we will soon have to take, the mountain we may soon fall off of….
But no. It’s no longer a fear, dramatic discussions, obstacles in the way, or a mountain to climb... when we actually enjoy it. So I just stopped worrying about this new happening in my life. A change that involves the happiness of me, and my future me. A change that examines the details of my heart's compartments. We have a set cue on the lighting board waiting for us to standby, and then magically a sequence of colors brighten life, not a moment too soon.
